Is this strictly for lithium ion batteries - not any other chemistries?

38:35
The focus at least initially will be on lithium ion and related technologies, but we will be exploring expansion depending on industry needs

46:38
What is the timeline to install the dry-room and other experimental facilities?

47:01
We will work with iM3NY, but this award will not allow any $ to flow to commercial entities. NENY will have greater flexibility to change chemistries. iM3Ny is a for profit entity and so making money is their first goal.

48:45
Initially your corporate partner is solely iM3NY?

49:56
Regarding "supplier qualification programs", do you mean designing your own qualification / testing criteria, or identifying relevant industry certifications for motive and stationary such as UL 1973 (stationary) and IEC 61508 (EV/stationary) as qualifying criteria?

50:08
No. We are hoping for many initial partners, include machine manufacturers. We welcome anyone who would like to partner.

50:17
making more chemical batteries of any kind will not reduce toxicity in NY

50:27
The work is intended to support and help many companies. We seek many partners, please talk with us.

52:04
Very much to be participating. What would be the opportunities for companies outside NY state?

53:36
To Joseph’s question, qualification and certification programs can include some standard tests along with specific testing/guidance/resources that go beyond UL tests.

54:06
Thank you.

54:09

Is there any thought around building a tool or configurator for battery systems designers to use to select appropriate cell formats and chemistries depending on application?

57:14
So rather than focusing on the cell, focusing on building pack design capability?

59:43
I neglected to sent this question to everyone: I’m very pleased to see the emphasis on equity and environmental justice in the proposal. As you know, both the NY CLCPA and the Federal Justice 40 programs require robust partnership and devolution of rewires to benefit low income communities and communities of color. I expect that round two awardees will have demonstrated a robust approach in this regard. Which Non-Profit and community organizations are you partnering with, and what would this look like for workforce development and in general. Finally, NYSERDA’s regional clean energy hub program has a focus on workforce development in disadvantaged communities. CCE-tompkins is leading the consortium for this region. We would like to connect soon to discuss collaboration.

01:01:41
For EV, are you looking only to explore Li-ion battery or beyond that for example using high-K dielectric capacitors?

01:02:06
Are the efforts to look at other battery technologies in this effort, or technologies geared towards long duration ES?

01:02:26
Please check the engagement form again, I have changed the settings to remove the restriction: https://forms.gle/fCSfwhu2j4LiHzwZ8

I got into the form

Yes the form works now.

Now form can be accessed with any email id.

Thank you

01:12:59
Do you have targets for the number of pouch cells that can be produced per day/run at the new facility?

01:14:24
Can the organization design custom pouch cells?

01:16:55
What is the path for non-LI technologies, particularly newer technologies, to interact with this structure?

01:17:38
RIT has a cylindrical cell manufacturing Process?

01:18:24
do we have opportunity to commercialize this process
